Membership and fee book, 1852-1854, of the Medico-Chirurgical Society of Richmond, Virginiaa. The volume was also used as a record, 1867-1870, of visits by John P. Little, physician.

Series of letters, bound into a black volume with gold embossing around its edge. The letters span from 1828- 1857 but the bulk of the letters are from 1830- 1833. Brown writes to an assortment of recipients and from varied places such as Petersburg, Virginia, Richmond, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland. Topics in his letters include politics, Brown was a member of the House of Delegates for Virginia, love, business, and family affairs. One later letter laments the ill health of his father and the sudden death of his dear brother, Henry. There are also a few letters from J. Wilcox to John Thompson Brown relating to legal and business matters.

Account book of Joseph Bryan, kept in Richmond, Va., while he was serving as the executor of the estate of Daniel K. Stewart. Includes names of legatees who are members of the Stewart family.

Autograph album of a young lady named Julia. One autograph includes a notation, "Richmond, Va." Some autogaphs include drawings. Many pages are faded or illegible due to water damage. Undated, but during the 19th century.

Letters, 1868-1916, received by Levin Joynes of Richmond, Va. from relatives and friends. Includes letters written from Virginia Military Institute as well as letters concerning Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Acc. 2010.492 includes pencil drawings by Levin Joynes.

Diary, 1823-1830, 1875, and loose papers 1813, 1831, and undated of Lydia H. Hart of Richmond, Virginia and later Walden, Orange County, New York. The diary was started by Lydia H. Hart, the wife of Reverend William H. Hart, who was the rector of St. John's Church in Richmond, VA and later St. Andrews Church in Walden, New York. Diary entries include day-to-day activities and meetings with local neighbors and church patrons. These neighbors included Elizabeth Van Lew and her parents, whom Lydia Hart writes about several times. Most dated entries also include discussion of specific bible verses or Rev. Hart's sermons. Notable entries include a description of the funeral service for Rev. John Buchanan, former rector of St. John's Church from 1795 to 1822. Diary entries are chronological and more frequent for early 1823 and become less frequent in 1823. In 1828, Lydia Hart moved to New York and eventually to Walden, New York in May 1830.

Mostly letters, financial records, published material and official records of individuals in Virginia and elsewhere. Includes documents and signatures of well known people, such as Benjamin Harrison, John Randolph and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

3 Bill of Exchange and promissory note documents from M.L. Day, maker, to W.B. Brooke, acceptor, notarized with embossed seal in Baltimore, Maryland on January 16, 1837. M.L. Day is from Richmond, Virginia and wrote attached promissory notes on October 15, 1836.
