Papers, 1945-1946 of Sergeant August R. Offer Jr., consisting of letters, photographs, Chinese currency, Chinese stamps and a military pass for the City for Shanghai. Letters are addressed to Offer while stationed in Shanghai after the end of the WW II and also to the U.S after his return in December 1945. folder link on the right.

This collection contains a stamp dated July 18, 1854; 1891-1892 student handbook for Washington & Lee; four photographs; and various correspondence and articles to and by Dr. Green.

The Ephemera Collection contains material primarily acquired for teaching. It includes material in various formats, most of which have been previously published. The collection is currently being processed and new items will be added on an ongoing basis. For this reason, the indicated date range is approximate at this point.

115 envelopes, postcards, and letters from Germany with cancelled postage stamps. The chronology of the cancelled postage illustrates the hyperinflation Germany experienced, especially immediately following World War I.

Two International First Day Covers Honoring America's Bicentennial produced by the Westport Collectors Society and belonging to Walter W. Kale.

The John B. Moore papers consist of correspondence, newspaper clippings, handwritten drafts, and a 1966 John Bassett Moore commemorative postage stamp and envelope. The donors of these items are unknown, although probably some papers were found by the librarian in the books Moore donated to the Law School in the 1920s. The approximately forty items span the years 1894 to 1966 and, for the most part, are unrelated. Of possible historical interest are letters, some in Spanish and French, and a few clippings about the Spanish-American War and international law. Of biographical interest are letters Moore wrote from 1936 to 1941 to Margaret W. Grimm, who lived in the house in Smyrna, Delaware, where Moore was born. Finally, there is a 1966 special series stamp commemorating John B. Moore as a prominent American educator, diplomat, and authority on international law.
