Correspondence and papers of members of the Page and Saunders families. Includes correspondence of Margaret Lowther Page of "Rosewell," Gloucester County, Va. and Williamsburg, Va. with her daughter Lucy Burwell Page Saunders and her son-in-law Robert Saunders. The collection includes a diary, 1826, of Robert Saunders while on a trip from New York to Le Havre; published stories of Lucy Burwell Page Saunders; manuscript stories by Roberta Saunders; and correspondence of Robert Page Saunders. There are references to Benjamin Stoddert Ewell and to the College of William and Mary in the papers; a letter, 16 February 1816, written by William Wirt to Robert Saunders; and letters from Sally M. Galt of Williamsburg.

This collection consists of a full plate mounted albumen photograph of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia. The photograph was inscribed to Benson J. Lossing by General William Reading Montgomery between 1864 and 1871. The handwritten inscription mentions history of Christ Church, including George Washington's pew being intact. A second inscription reads 'Photograph By Hartman Marshall House Alexandria, Va.'

This collection consists of an albumen photograph of the Holy Trinity Church in Coventry, England. The image shows the church in the distance and a man fishing in a body of water in front of the church.

This collection consists of a modern copy of a photograph of Virginia Military Institute's parade ground from the late 1880s. The image contains campus buildings, barns, and VMI cadets. The copy was made by Andre Studio in Lexington, Virginia in 1976.

Papers, chiefly 1930-1969, of Richard Lee Morton, professor of history at the College of William and Mary from 1919 to 1959. Series 1 includes personal and professional correspondence, lectures and notes relating to his research on Virginia history, and material relating to his community activities in Williamsburg, Va. Includes correspondence of his wife Estelle (Dinwiddie) Morton, land grants, 1756 and 1774, signed by Robert Dinwiddie and Lord Dunmore, Confederate currency and bonds, genealogical materials on the Watkins and Morton families and photographs.

This collection, 1860-1867, consists mainly of letters between Richard S. Morgan, a Chicago apothecary and Celia Frary, a Morris, Illinois schoolteacher, who married in Grundy County, Illinois in 1863. The correspondence begins in the Fall of 1862 when Richard was an Assistant Apothecary at the Federal Drug Store, Camp Douglas, IllinoisL. In addition, there is correspondence with parents, other family members and friends, three photographs, and teachers' certificates.

The collection includes photographs related to the history of the Powell Family of Virginia. Some of the names include Mary Hepburn, Nina L. Hepburn, Sewell S. Hepburn, Margaret White, H. Brooke Powell, Sewell Hepburn, Selina Lloyd Sewell, John Lloyd, Charles Powell, and Colonel William F. Lee.

Papers, 1800-1901, of and relating to John Hipkins and John Hipkins Bernard (mostly accounts); of and relating to members of the Hipkins, Bernard and Robb families; and relating to the Hipkins-Bernard-Robb home "Rose Hill," Caroline County, Va. (later renamed "Gay Mont") and to Bernard's lands in Alabama, Texas and Arkansas. Includes diaries, correspondence, poems, accounts and account books of women (Elizabeth Hipkins, Jane Gay Robertson Bernard, and Helen Struan Bernard Robb); and legal documents and letters of John Taylor of Caroline. Of special interest are the diaries of Eugenia D. Robb while serving with the American Red Cross in Germany and Japan during and after World War II (1999.56A).
