It also contains an image of Virginia Military Institute professor James Woods Massie. There are photographs by Lexington and Shenandoah Valley photographers Michael Miley, Adam H. Plecker, Hugh Morrison, and Benjamin Clinedinst, and George Teaford and Worthen of Winchester, Va. The album includes hand written geneaological notes about the Houston family.

Other materials include printed articles about the Bush Hill plantation,a copy of a book, "The Battles of Aldie, Middleburg and Upperville," and genealogical charts, tables and notes.
