Circular Order #8 includes Kean's letter of October 13. Kean states in his communication that the mosquito is responsible for the transmission of malaria and filarial infections, and more than likely yellow fever. Report of Committee on the Etiology of Yellow Fever, Proceedings of the American Public Health Association, 1900 6 pages Box 21, Folder 60

Horlbeck concludes in this report to the American Public Health Association that the bacillus icteroides, discovered by Sanarelli, is the cause of yellow fever.
