The James H. Lane Research Collection is a collection of research revolving around James H. Lane. The collection includes copies of letters, newspaper clippings, and book excerpts, along with photographs, focusing on Lane's time in the Confederate Army, as well as his time as a professor at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College (now Virginia Tech) and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University).
