The collection contains two letters: one letter from Anson Du Puy Van Buren to Miss Ada D. Clark, dated August 26, 1863 and another letter from the National Society of Autograph Collectors to Mr. Forest Sweet, dated March 20, 1948. The earlier letter includes a description of Sojourner Truth by Van Buren and references Nathaniel Hawthorne. The second letter documents the provenance of this earlier letter. The collection also contains one newspaper clipping from The Battle Creek Enquirer regarding Sojourner Truth, dated September 24, 1997.

The collection contains letters and programs, writings and other papers documenting Aquilla Matthews, an African-American woman originally from Danville, Virginia who was the director of the USO African American Women's group, The Sun and Sand Caravan during World War II. The collection includes: photographs of several members of the group notes with description of different areas served and several letters documenting Matthews personal and professional life.

The Charlotte Ursula Zolotow papers contains professional and personal correspondence, manuscripts, publisher galleys, photographs, slides, and artworks from illustrators. The materials document the personal and professional life of children's book author and editor Charlotte Ursula Zolotow.

The Frederick H. Stady papers contains letters written to and from Frederick H. Stady and his parents in Great Valley, New York, while stationed in Japan during the Korean War, 1952- 1953. Stady was part of the 64th Anti- Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion during the war. During his service Stady was promoted twice and writes regarding these promotions and his raise in pay. He also comments on the local people and scenery of his locale, and recalls the work he does within his service in the Army.

Collection contains letters sent to Irene Orzechowski from people, primarily men, serving in the military during and after World War II. Early letters from 1943 are from Franklin C. Foulks who was in the Navy stationed in the United States and the western pacific, Japan and Korea. Letters included in the collection also come from her sister, Genia Maslowski. Other letters are from Frederick Stein in the Navy to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stein of Atchison, Kansas and from Eddie Maslowski and Franklin Foulks while stationed at Camp Peary, Virginia and overseas.

8 pages, 1 campaign poster, 2 photos, 2 postcards, and 8 Christmas cards. The three letter pages from 1972 were sent by James Edward Harrison, the rest appears to have been sent to him. The postcards are signed "Baker," and the letter from York House marked "private" is signed "Godfrey Thomas." The Christmas cards are all from Cliveden and contain prints, one of which is a family portrait. The campaign poster is for the Parliamentary Bye-Election of 1919 and is signed by Lady Astor with a note.

Collection contains letters and postcards mailed between members of the Jenkins family. The post cards are from locations across the United States. The letters were sent between Mr. and Mrs. Robert David Jenkins while he was in the military after the Korean War. The letters are a mix of love letters and family updates.

The collection contains Volumes I and II of "Jonathan and His Continent" by Leon Paul Blouet "Max O'Rell" as well as Blouet family genealogical records, and letters from Leon Paul Blouet.

Seven letters consisting of twenty-eight pages and seven envelopes total, written by Nelie Wampler in Geer, Virginia, to her sister Susie Wenger who lived in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Primarily focuses on Wampler's life in a rural Mennonite community, describing crafting, cooking, and charity work.

Two letters from Pearl S. Buck to her editor. The first letter refers to something enclosed that she wanted to say to African Americans. The enclosed item is not present. She sent copies of this letter to all African American journals, and was glad to have her editor use the letter if they wished on or after February 28.
