Abstract Or Scope

Three land grants and transcripts regarding land in Greene Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania (now part of Greene County), with both the original documents and digital scans available to view. The first grant is dated 23 April 1793 and also includes an official transcript (1918). This grant concerns land located in Greene Township named "Bunkers Hill." The second grant is dated 9 June 1794 and concerns land located in Greene Township named "Bostonian" (it has no corresponding transcript). The third grant is dated 17 June 1794 and concerns a piece of land named "Spicers Defeat," but only the transcript is present. Names mentioned in these grants include Boston Canor, Michael Burns, Thomas Bowen, and Elizabeth Dougherty, Bowen's wife.
