This is an artificial collection of material from and about Matthew Whaley School in Williamsburg, Virginia including material from the annual fifty year reunions. The school newspaper, The Powder Horn, 1930-1937 and 1946-1948, is available in Rare Books call number AN47 .W54 P68.

Chiefly invitations received by Sally McDowell. Includes printed invitations, 1839, to [George] Washington "Birthnight Ball" held by students at the College of William and Mary; invitation, 1839, to attend a party given at the Bell Tavern; silhouettes, n. d., of Sally McDowell and Dr. [?] McDowell; program, 1851, of entertainment given in London for [Abbott Lawrence]; and account, 1861-1865, of Lilly McDowell.

Items relating to early twentieth-century College of William and Mary, Colonial Williamsburg, and Williamsburg High School. A few items are from the Ayres family of Williamsburg, Virginia.

This collection is made up of pamphlets, invitations, and other publicity material produced by the Office of Public Affairs at The College of William and Mary. Pamphlets in the collection include those for Community at a Crossroads: A College Community Partnership for Economic Development in 1997; Bond Issue for Higher Education in 2002; and the Chartered Universities Initiative of 2004.

This collection includes material related to fashion designer Perry Ellis including photographs, invitations to his shows, programs from shows, and newspaper clippings concerning his clothing lines. Box 2 is entirely newspapers and news clippings.

This collection contains correspondence, including an invitation to join the "7 Society;" materials about John S. Bryan's inauguration as president of William & Mary; publications relating to William & Mary; materials about the American Chemistry Society (Virginia Section) and Hampton Roads Chemists Club; and Student Government ballots.

Invitation to a Cadets' Select Party given by the Corps of Cadets at the Rappahanock Military Institute. Names listed in the invitation as Managers of the party include, Colin D. Clarke, J. M. Scott, J. L. Clarke, A. G. Dickinson, T. M. Lewis, J. B. Jett, E. H. Henry, A. B. Pendleton, M. S. Stringfellow. The bottom of the party invitation has a hand written note, Respects of Cadet Robert B. Fauntleroy.
