Zuendel, Jean Gulnac
Contains material regarding the genealogy and history of the Cuming, Sanders, and Gill Families. It focuses on the English ancestors of the families, who primarily originated from Devon. The Cuming family is traced back to the 13th century and a direct line of descent is established in the 17th century starting with Nicholas Cuming. The Sanders family begins in the late 18th century with the descendants of Elburton Sanders. Less material is available regarding the Gill family, tracing only a few generations beginning in the late 18th century with Joseph Gill. Some of the American descendants of these families were associated with Parsons, St. Marys, and other locations in and around West Virginia. The collection also includes reproductions of photographs and documents, as well as photographs, taken in 2003, of locations in Britain relevant to the history of the families.

Papers of Dr. Margaret Byrnside Ballard (1900-1991), regarding the history of Monroe County, West Virginia, and the Ballard family. As a genealogist and author of local history, she was an avid collector of the historical materials contained in this collection, most of which relate to her family and Monroe County. The collection includes personal papers, business records, historical and genealogical research material, scrapbooks, bibles, memorabilia, artifacts, photographs, broadsides, paintings, and postage stamps. Moreland, William A., 1916-1986
Papers of a Morgantown lawyer and state legislator. Includes political correspondence of William Moreland addressing issues ranging from abortion to coal mining with a majority of the papers regarding the operation of state bureaucracy and the importance of organized labor in West Virginia. Addendum of 2010/10/29 includes Moreland's World War II (WWII) service records, family genealogy, and family photographs. Addenda of 2011/03/21 and 2011/06/20 include papers of William Moreland, and papers of his father and grandfather, James R. Moreland and Joseph Moreland. Addendum of 2014/06/12 includes some papers and many artifacts. Addendum of 2016/07/27 includes drawings of properties in Monongalia County and political campaign and other material. See "Scope and Content Note" for details. Addendum of 2017/05/22 contains two scrapbooks of clippings documenting Moreland from 1933-1970. There are additional addenda.
