Bound journal, March 7- June 9, 1922, kept by Charlton Yarnall, describing his family's vacation travel from Philadelphia to Algeria, Italy, France and England. The typed journal, 88 pp., includes pictures and postcards. Family members mentioned in the journal are his wife Anna Coxe and his daughter Agnes, age 17.

Travel diary of Frances Evarts Clark of Washington, D.C. on a trip to Asia and Europe. Her first entry is from Honolulu, Hawaii in November, 1926. The Captain of the U.S.S. Charmont, John H. Blackburn, signed her diary along with a few fellow travelers. Near the front of the diary, she has drawn a pencil picture of a ship with flying birds and has written, "Outward Bound" and "5 December 1926, A.W.R."

Diary, 1890-1897, of Katherine Hamilton of Shreveport, Louisiana. The first part of the diary details a trip that Hamilton took to Europe aboard the steamship Scythia, from June 1890 to September 1890. The next part of her diary details a trip that Hamilton took to New Orleans in December 1892. The rest of the diary includes very brief entries about particular days, including when she visited Chicago for the World's Fair in 1893.

Mabel D. Bragdon kept a travel journal when she visited various cities in Europe including Vienna, Austria, Nuremberg, Germany, Paris, France, and Canterbury, England from October 14, 1906 to November 20, 1906. This collection contains 16 diaries kept by members of the Munger family from New Haven, Connecticut and Portland, Oregon. The collection contains information about the social, religious, cultural, and intellectual lives of late 19^th- and early 20^th-century women, the daily rhythms of their domestic lives and family relations. Twelve of the diaries were kept by Rosanna ("Rose" or Rosa") May Munger from 1886-1945, excluding years 1888 to 1899 and 1910 to 1914. Rose's diaries generally include one entry per day. Rose apparently suffered from a spinal disease, never married, and mostly lived with her family in New Haven. Some of the topics discussed in her diaries include taking trips to Europe and across the United States with her family, acting as secretary to her father, the Rev. Theodore Thornton Munger (1830-1910), a Congregational minister and an advocate of the "New Theology," working at an office, volunteering for several social and religious organizations, as well as other aspects of her daily life. Among the acquaintances Rose most frequently mentions are brother Thornton Taft Munger (1883-1975), sister Eleanor Duncan Munger (b. 1868), sister Mary Munger, nicknamed Polly (b. 1877), sister-in-law Mary Erskine Heilman Munger (1883-1967), step-mother Harriet King Osgood (1857-1925), friend Bessie Thompson, and Allie and George Sherman.

Diaries, 1977, 1980-1983, 1985, 1987, 1989 and undated of unidentified female traveler orginially from Ohio and later Florida. Among the countries visited are Austria, Germany, France, The Netherlands and Italy. Descriptions cover food, observations of people and sites visited including describing traveling through the checkpoints between West and East Germany. Also included are ephemera, like wine labels, brochures, receipts, etc.

Diary, 1929, of the trip of an American college student to Hamsburg, Germany, who traveled with his parents and his brother aboard the SS Franconia. Countries visited include Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, Scotland and England. Entries include information about his departure, his activities aboard ship, and fellow passengers. Also includes details of the locations which they visited, hotels they stayed at, as well as the restaurants, shows they saw, and operas they attended.
