The racial and ethnic ephemera collection contains various materials regarding race, ethnicity, and racism in the United States. The collection includes papers and items that promote racial prejudice and propaganda. The collection also contains items and papers that exemplify the fight for civil and equal rights. African Americans are the most broadly represented group in the collection. Other ethnic groups include Native Americans, Asian Americans, Jewish Americans, Muslim Americans, and Cuban Americans. Ku Klux Klan pamphlets and anti-immigration publications are also included. Through this collection, the American struggle of racism and prejudice is realized.

The collection also holds materials from the 1988 presidential campaign of George H. W. Bush and Dan Quayle.

The Ridell Family papers is primarily correspondence between Robert Calvin Ridell and his parents in Kerny, Nebraska. There is also correspondence from other family members, friends, and others. Ridell is nearly always addressed as Calvin. Ridell was a member of the United States Navy and correspondence dates from his time in training and while he was deployed at sea during World War II. Much of the correspondence and other printed material in the collection is from 1943-1946.

This collection contains the records of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Club at William & Mary, also known as "Skiffy." Included in the collection are announcements, fliers, scrapbooks of dance parties and events; copies of the newsletters "A" and "Semi-Colon;" photographs of club events; and several issues of the comic "FAANS," created by T.
