This collection contains correspondence to and from and news clippings about Professor John E. Boswell, College of William and Mary class of 1969, and faculty member at Yale University. Most of the articles and clippings contain reviews of Boswell's scholarship, including his book "Christianity, Social Intolerance, and Homosexuality: Gay People in Western Europe from the Beginning of the Christian Era to the 14th Century" published in 1980. The bulk of the correspondence is between Boswell and the donor of the collection, Prof. George Greenia, Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures at the College of William and Mary. The collection also includes one folder of clippings collected by Swem Library about Boswell for the Faculty-Alumni File Collection.

Service record book, 1943-1946, of John J. Waller, a member of the United States Army from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Includes a list of his duty stations, ranks that he held, his citations and decorations, places he visited, and his discharge date. There are also photographs of Waller from various points in his service.

The papers of William & Mary Law School Professor Emeritus John M. Levy include speeches given at various events by Dr. Levy, newsclippings either written by Levy or pertaining to Levy, as well as coursework and research during his tenure at the Law School.

This journal contains John P. Louderback's first-hand account of the First Battle of Manassas (or Bull Run) during the American Civil War. John Louderback served in the 10th Virginia Infantry, most likely Company I (Page Volunteers), although his company could not be verified. The 10th Virginia Infantry was part of the 4th Brigade of the Armies of the Shenandoah. This brigade participated towards the end of the First battle of Manassas (or Bull Run). The account is only five pages while the rest of the journal consists of birth and death dates for the Louderback and Holtz families of Page County, Virginia. Also included in the journal are local newspaper articles from Page County and Rockingham County, Virginia.

This collection consists of clippings and photographs relating to the William and Mary Theatre and drawings and possibly directions for a play by designer Prentice Hill, a faculty member at William and Mary from 1941-1943.

This collection contains one srapbook of newspaper clippings, compiled by Josephine Parsons Lee, concerning African American employees at Colonial Williamsburg from the 1960s to the 1980s . Included in the scrapbook are lists of African American employees, photographs of the various interpreters at Colonial Williamsburg, and social events sponsored by Colonial Williamsburg including team softball.

Material collected and created by William & Mary alumna Karla K. Bruno, ranging from 2007-2010 and related to the organizations 'Save the Wren Cross,' 'ShouldNicholBeRenewed.org,' and 'The Society for the College.' Also included are: copies of material related to the Department of Philosophy (2007), an interview with Gene Nichol on PBS's "What Matters" (January 2008; VHS tape) and a Fox News piece "Wren Cross" with Brit Hume (circa 2006-2007, VHS tapes.

Papers, 1937-1972, of Colonel Bonnie "Lane" Carlson, originally from Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. Colonel Lane Carlson was one of the first five female colonels in the United States Army. Primarily includes letters written to and from her parents throughout her life, beginning with her time at Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia, various military bases, postwar Japan and West Germany. Some of the topics discussed in the letters include base life during the war, the experience of a commissioned Women's Army Corps officer, vacations, and her role as technical director in the film "Francis Joins the WAC." The collection also contains professional papers, scrapbooks, a travel diary, and photographs of Helen Keller's visit to Japan in 1948.

Papers of Linda Lavin which document her career as a Broadway and television actress, and also as an advocate of women's rights and equal opportunity. Newspaper clippings, interviews, news releases, and personal letters record her success as a member of Neil Simon's Broadway play, "Broadway Bound," for which she received a Tony Award, the Drama Desk Award, and the Helen Hayes Award in 1987 as best leading actress.

Gladden in Rockingham, California from Port Republic, Virginia; undated Heidelberg Picture Card of "The Boy Samuel;" 1902 religious leaflet; typed transcript of a letter to Sister Blanche from her brother in Clarksburg, West Virginia about the death of her mother (undated); genealogical information on Sarah and Philip Lindsey; page from family bible (very fragile) which includes the marriage of Adam R. Gladden and Catharin Pane Lindsey on December 19, 1819, the birth of Martha Ann Gladden in 1856 and the death of Sarah Elisabeth Gladden in 1845, the birth of "Sarah Lindsey, nee Gilmon was born in the year of our Lord December 3, 1787" and other entries and newspaper clippings of obituaries including A.P. Gladden of Mount Crawford, Virginia.
