The Joyce Crary show horse photo album (1940s; 0.2 cubic feet) contains photographs labeled by hand in white ink. 10 x 13 with 35 leaves containing around 120 black and white photographs, and a few pieces of ephemera, inserted into corner mounts. Photographs feature Joyce Crary, her family, and her friends and horses at the family ranch near Chico, California. Horses and riders are shown jumping, racing, and performing trick riding of various types. One image is of Joyce, her father, and a horse at a USO show and one image shows the horse Pawnee Sue participating in a rehabilitation program for wounded WWII veterans. Another depicts Pawnee Sue being ridden by a former marine as part of Mare Island's physical rehabilitation program. Some clippings are related to Chico Riding Club.

Brooklyn, the Cape Charles light ship, the Princess Anne, and the St. Louis. There are scenes of the seashore at Virginia Beach and Richmond. Beyond Virginia, scenes include monuments in Baltimore, Maryland, various streets and historical sites in New York City, and the United States Capitol.
