Records of a church near Morgantown, including minutes, 1843-1855; register of members, baptisms, deaths, and marriages, 1919-1929; organization of the Young People's Meeting, 1935-1943; the Sunday school, 1935; and organization of the Christian Endeavor Society, 1934; minutes of the Easton-Avery Community Building, 1939-1946; minutes of the Community Center Board of Directors; and Bible Class records, 1908-1926.

The papers received from Mr. Brinkman in 1938 include manuscripts, typescripts, and printed items, and general merchandise account books. The manuscript items are mainly letters, receipts, account statements, and certificates concerning the general merchandise business of George Brinkman in Grafton, Grafton Gas Works, Charles Brinkman's History of Grafton, history of the first memorial service and the location of the National Cemetery in Grafton (Box 13), and stock in the Grafton & Greenbrier Railroad Company.

The papers include 36 volumes of business and other records, such as the ledgers of the George W. Brinkman merchandising firm, the Mutual Building Company, minutesof the Grafton Rotary Club; journal and statistical report of the Grafton Baptist Church, 1897-1906; and a mas. history of Taylor County in various American wars, and extracts from the Civil War diary of Fabricius A. Cather. Also included are 2 boxes of financial records, miscellaneous newspaper clippings, a partial index to scrapbooks, and a family genealogy. There are also 49 volumes of clipping scrapbooks dealing with Grafton and Taylor County subjects covering the period 1868-1938.

The correspondence and notes of Corinne E. Cutright, principally concerning her work as a genealogist, containing information on many family names, see processing notes for partial listing. There are, also, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous printed material regarding Upshur County, Harrison County, and general West Virginia history; obituaries; Civil War; and a list of Revolutionary War soldiers and pensioners.

The main part of this collection is comprised of obituaries clipped from Buckhannon, Clarksburg and Parkersburg newspapers, 1926-1939. Also 17 issues of Buckhannon and Clarksburg newspapers, 1917-1938; and the roto section of the Sunday Herald, Boston Mass., Aug 10, 1924 featuring reproductions of Civil War pictures in the Library of Congress, including several concerning WV. Some correspondence of Iva, Corrine, Allene, Mollie and Pearl Cutright, including a few letters from school friends, but mainly concerning D. A. R. activities. Items on the genealogy of the Coffman and Wolfe families, and notes on some early settlers in the vicinity of Buckhannon, including Carney, Westfall and Cutright families.
