Abstract Or Scope

Middlesex County (Va.) Deed, Charles Lee to George Nicolson, Sheriff of Middlesex County, 1823. The deed documents the sale of Lee's interest in a parcel of land occupied by his mother that was part of his father's estate. The sale was made to the sheriff to satisfy a debt judgment against Lee in Middlesex County Court. The deed also states that Lee has taken an oath required by law for the relief of insolvent debtors.
