This collection includes administrative records, publications, and other material from the Department of English at the College of William and Mary.

Correspondence and papers of Frank Shatz of Lake Placid, New York and Williamsburg, Virginia, 1965-2009. Subject matter of the collection is foreign policy, the Lake Placid Council on Foreign Policy, public funding for libraries and public television and radio, the endowment of the Reves Center for International Studies at the College of William and Mary and more. Includes Frank Shatz's World Focus columns from the Virginia Gazette.

Fred Frechette's papers which include his Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper articles on Williamsburg, Virginia, photographs and his script and related material on "The Once and Future Camelot" a production given for the Williamsburg Reunion. Material related to his duty as a volunteer fireman and his March 25, 2000 pamphlet "William and Mary Students and the Travis House, Feb. 1, 1943-Feb. 28, 1951."

The James City County Oral History Collection holds two copies of transcripts and one corresponding cassette tapes of the Oral History Project directed by Robinette Fitzsimmon of the James City County Historical Commission. The collections includes interviews of residents of James City County, the City of Williamsburg, and York County, Virginia. Topics range from education to farming to Eastern State Hospital. Time periods covered begin with family memories from the Revolutionary War to the 1980's. Many interviewees were born in late 1800's to early 1900's.

Collection includes papers such as correspondence, printed material, correspondence, audio-visual materials and a draft of a manuscript entitled "Fortunate Son."

The Manuscripts Audiovisual Collection includes audiovisual formats from a variety of personal papers and organizational records collections.

Campaign material for Herbert H. Bateman when he ran for U.S. Congress for the First Virginia District. Includes financial records, office files, polling data and media material. Files of Michael Fox.

Booklets and newsletters, 1974-1977, relating to the Weather Underground Organization as well as a 1978 interview with Bunny Raymond, the mother of a member of the Weather Underground (audiocassette). The materials were collected by then W&M student Paul Pigulski as part of this research for his M.A. Thesis: Pigulski, Paul Michael, "The Weather Underground: A study in mobilization" (1981). Established by American Studies Ph.D. Kevin Kosanovich working in Swem Library's Special Collections, the William & Mary Hip Hop Collection is the most comprehensive of its kind dedicated to Virginia's hip hop culture and history from the 1980s to the present. The collection includes oral histories committed to preserving and documenting Virginia's rich hip hop past, as well as recordings of hip hop music, publications, and ephemera created by Virginia and Virginia-based artists, collectives, and businesses. Additionally, the collection documents the origins and impact of hip hop culture on college campuses throughout the state by collecting records of hip hop based student organizations, college radio stations, events and concerts with a special focus on William & Mary itself.
