The collection includes the papers of World War I fighter pilot Alan Campbell Cameron (1895-1960) of Riverside, Cook County, Illinois, including letters from relatives and friends, primarily his father John M. Cameron (1867-1939), a Chicago attorney at the law firm of Custer and Cameron, and Dorothy Abbott, a romantic interest of Cameron during his school years. The letters document Cameron's life as a college student, his service as an aviator in the war, and his post-service years while leasing the Sanford Hotel in San Pedro, California. The collection also includes Chicago Daily Tribune clippings.

Also includes an outline for an article drawn from the book and a newspaper clipping about Christopher being awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal in Italy.

The Melvin N. Gough Papers span from 1919 to 1971 and include a wide variety of materials reflecting Gough's career as a test pilot, National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) administrator, and flight safety investigator. Types of materials include NACA and Advisory Group for Aerospace Research and Development (AGARD) reports and documents, articles, correspondence, notes and speeches, and newspaper and magazine clippings. Gough (1906-1994) was an engineer, pilot, and administrator at NACA/NASA from 1926 to 1960.

This collection consists of the selective service records of Robert Eldred Taylor (1920-1994) of Larned, Kansas, during World War II. This includes materials such as Taylor's Aviation Cadet Training Rejection, an honorable discharge certificate, and a later letter explaining that he may be eligible for army duty. Other materials include a flight chart of Central America and a certificate of recognition for completion of the Gulf Sea Frontier Transport Pilot Course.
