A collection of 27 8x10 silver gelatin prints that includes photographs of Dana Abraham's family. Each photograph is black and white with white borders, and spans from Fall 2022 to Spring 2023. Most of the photographs are of young women and girls of the Abraham family, with some elderly members of the family also included. The photographs are representative of the Abraham family's bond. Statement from creator and donor Dana Abraham: "The bond my family shares is something truly extraordinary. I wanted to capture special moments with my family to provide them with a means of documenting our shared love and experiences. Some of the works focus on my sisters and the tribulations of youth, while others expand the rest of the family, portraying the intimate nature of familial bonds"

A photo album, circa 1940-1950, of an unidentified African-American family, most likely of Richmond, Virginia. The album contains snapshots of multiple family members, taken at schools and colleges including Maggie L. Walker High School and Virginia Union University. Holiday and other events are depicted in the photographs along with shots of the Bell Tower, Kingsley Hall, Pickford Hall, and Moore Street Baptist Church. Several Richmond streets and landmarks are also featured in the photos, including the State Capitol Building, Executive Mansion, Capitol Square, Broad Street Station, the monuments of Matthew Fontaine Maury, Robert E. Lee, and J.E.B. Stuart on Monument Avenue, as well as Maymont estate/park.

Photographs of an African-American family, circa 1880-1960, most likely of Richmond, Virgina. Included are snapshots, studio portraits and photo postcards of family members and also a postcard of the "Barracks of Colored Recruits, Camp Lee, Petersburg, Va." (addressed to Eliza Chatman, Richmond, Va.). Some photos are identified by first names or location. Names include Pearl, Russell, Constance, Berkley, Allen, Beverley Boxyem, Samuel, Mary, James, Horace, Sarah, Mother Booker, Julie, Lester Hall, Joe Bill Williams and Mildred. Locations in addition to Richmond, are Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Tappahannock, Va., Detroit, Michigan, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Pennyslvania. Subjects of photos include visiting relatives, returning from church, several people in military uniform, children playing, post cards, pictures of individuals, studio portraits and family photos.

The collection contains one photograph album and one real photograph postcard.

Collection contains printed materials, photographs, and church-related documents related to Georgia Ragsdale Curtis of Roanoke, Virginia and her family including her sister Laura Ragsdale Barnett. The earliest materials include a 1912 handwritten diary of a Ragsdale family member. The papers in the collection include newspaper clippings of family obituaries, family funeral service programs, family photographs, civil rights related papers and magazines, Addison High School and Patrick Henry High School papers and yearbooks related to Georgia's career as a teacher, and several papers related to the Blue Ridge Baptist Church of Roanoke, Virginia which Georgia was very involved with from at least 1966 until her death in 2008.

Papers, 1847-1934, including correspondence, essays, articles, and poems by John Hart, a Richmond book seller and poems, short stories, and a novel by his wife, Katherine M. Hart. The papers of John Hart include letters concerning the sale of books and two letters by James Branch Cabell. The collection includes diplomas and certificates awarded by the University of Virginia to his [father ?] John Hart of Louisa County, Va.

Photograph album, circa 1930s, of the Rufae Holmes and Samuel B. Holmes families of Richmond, Virginia. Includes photographs of family members, including A.B. Holmes; schools, including Douglas High School in Baltimore; students; and activities including football and a road trip taken on the Skyline Drive in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. In 2014, family descendant Carole Osmet added six additional photos of the family.

Photograph album, circa 1910-1919, of an unidentified resident of Hampton, Virginia. Pictures are primarily of African Americans and include shots of teachers in a summer program at Hampton Institute, a man in a baseball uniform, formal posed pictures, a trip to Alabama, tobacco leaves, and of the teachers and students of the Lott Carey School, among many others. Some photographs have notations beside them, while the majority do not. Names recorded are S. Vaughn, R. Whiting, L. Bass, S. Bass, M. Bass, Felix, Bertha, Herman, Maggie, and Renard Brown of Norfolk. L. Meyers appears in at least two photos. The photograph album may have belonged to Ruffin P. Boulding and his family, but further research would be necessary to verify.

Fourteen photographs showing the grounds, buildings, and students of St. Emma's Industrial and Agricultural institute, a school for Black boys founded in 1895 in Powhatan County, Virginia. It was renamed St. Emma's Military Academy and closed in 1972.
