Scope and content:

This box includes materials from Dr. Kemps trips to Great Britain as well as Russia and his fellowship at University of Edinburgh, Scotland. It also contains engineering papers and his collection of materials on the Wheeling Suspension Bridge, early suspension bridges and the King's Covered Bridge (including 5 CDs) and photographs of unidentified rope bridge. Also included is Dr. Kemp's collection of materials on his collaboration with Dr. Harukazu Ohashi in translating a paper of Dr. Kemp's to Japanese.

Language:

Some of the materials from Dr. Kemp's Russia trip (booklets, brochures, correspondence) are written in Russian. Also, much of the Harukazu Ohashi files are in Japanese including the journals and manuscripts copies he sent to Dr. Kemp.
