Scope and content:

Kemp wrote the book, Taming the Muskingum about navigation on the Muskingum River in Ohio. The box includes his research materials, including correspondence, booklets, reports, studies, facsimile articles, facsimile reports, and facsimile correspondence. Subjects include the Muskingum River and the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, the Ohio River, locks and dams, building along the waterway and insurance claims. The following oversize materials were moved to Box 342: one reservoir data sheet (January 1944), and one map (1970).
