Scope and content:

The material in this series pertains to Thomas Clark Atkeson (1852-1935), born in Buffalo, Putnam County WV. Atkeson served as the Dean of the College of Agriculture at West Virginia University (1897-1910), State Grange master for 21 years, and national spokesman for the Grange in Washington D.C. (1919-1927).

This series includes correspondence, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, booklets, certificates, copies of "West Virginia Agriculturalist" journal he published. Topics include speeches to congress, history of the Grange, the West Virginia Grange, etc.
