W[illiam] Wright's trip to Washington to represent the interests of ex-union soldiers in Custom-House employment; discusses Wright's and others' connections with the local Grant clubs; warns Sherman of the scheming conducted by "these old Louisiana Political huckstering knaves." 3 pp. ACyS.
