Scope and content:

One bronze medallion, 4in. in diameter. The obverse depicts Franklin with the dates 1706-1790 and the words "Printer Philosopher Scientist Statesman Diplomatist." The reverse shows four classical figures and bears the inscription "Struck by an Act of the Congress of the United States to Commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Benjamin Franklin, MCMVI."
