Scope and Contents

One bronze medal, 2in. in diameter, the reverse of which features the Greek symbols for Alpha and Omega, an open book, and a navigational instrument. The reverse reads "Janua Universitatis Studiorum Reserata" in the center and "CRE Conferentia Rectorum Europae 1959" around the perimeter. The medal is in a dark blue leather case. There is also a business card of Andris Barblan, Secretary General of CRE, with the note "With the good wishes of Europe!" An image is available at https://www.flickr.com/photos/scrc/5765395005/.
