Scope and Contents
One white cotton cloth banner that was created by the Wren Society, a secret society at William and Mary, to welcome families to the College during Family Weekend. The banner has a purple lace border. "Welcome" is written in black cursive script to the right and "Families" is written in black cursive script below it. The seal of the Wren Society is depicted with a purple outline to the left of "Families." Inside the seal is a black painting of the Wren building. Below that is the phrase "Veritas e Requitas" written in black with "1832" (the year the society was founded) written in black underneath that. Below the seal is written "THE WREN SOCIETY" in black. The banner is in excellent condition. It measures 2ft.1.25in. (length) x 3ft. 6.5in (width). There is an approximately 0.25in. black stain near the right corner. There is also a 1in. hot glue yellow stain in the top right corner and a 0.75in. hot glue yellow stain in the bottom right corner. The lace in the top right corner is coming off.
