Brass spring scale measuring up to 4 pounds or 2 kilograms with measurements in ounces and grams. Scale manufactured by Chatillon of New York. Painted black iron backing is incised with the number "142." The upper metal loop to hang the scale is still attached, but the hook for attaching the item to be weighed is not included. Scale measures 6 in. (height) x 1.325 (width) x .625 (depth). Scale is in good condition with minor discoloration of the brass plate front, and rusting of the iron backing. Scale belonged to Bruce Goodwin, WM Geology Professor from 1963-1996. Transferred from Box 2 of the Bruce Goodwin Papers (UA 6.049). Gift of the Bruce Goodwin Family. Located in BG. UA 2012.418.01
