1-oval pin with a golden center in which a torch with an eagle/falcon at the top is engraved. The edge of the pin has a green background and "SIR ROBERT BOYLE SOCIETY/The College of William and Mary in Virginia" in raised gold letters on the green background. The pin is contained in a black felt jewelry box that measures approximately 2in. (length) x 1.5in. (width) x 1in. (height) and that has abrasions on the lid. On the inside of the lid, "SIR ROBERT BOYLE SOCIETY" is printed in black block script. The pin was given as a gift to donors of the College. The pin measures approximately 0.75in. in diameter and is in good condition. The pin is attached to the display piece in the jewelry box by cylinder clasp. Bequest of Anne Dobie Peebles, transferred from the Office of the President by Michael J. Fox. UA 2014.106.05
