Scope and Contents Letter received from "a small stockholder"; suggests newspaper articles on the Richmond & Petersburg R.R. and the Raleigh & Eastern R.R. which "would aid materially the sale of our bonds in England." Enclosure: "A small stockholder," Richmond, to Elihu Chauncey, Philadelphia (1838 April 24). Complaint about the management of stock in the hands of Moncure Robinson; and the high salaries paid to the President and his assistants.
