Sends his condolences on the death of Galt's oldest son. Feels Galt's brother will do well. Is honored by Galt having named his youngest son after him. [Note: William and Mary Ware Galt's second child and first son, Alexander Patrick Galt, was born in 1845 and died in 1850. Their fourth child and third son Rogers Harrison Galt was born in 1850. See Galt Genealogy, I.E. 11. b. ii. and iv., p. 9.]
