Swimming & Diving Championships First Place Plaque, 1977

Scope and content:

1- Wooden plaque in the shape of a shield that has a red shield shape in the middle. The outline of the red shield shape is white and has a red floral design. The inside of the shield shape is solid red and has "VIFSW/SWIMMING & DIVING/CHAMPIONSHIPS/1988/1ST PLACE/COLLEGE" engraved in white. On the back of the plaque there is a hook hole where one can hang the plaque as well as a small square silver sticker that reads "G&W/Brokerage Co., Inc./804-489-7676/4201 HAMPTON BLVD./NORFOLK, VA. 23508." The plaque measures approximately 12.25in. and is in fair condition. There are scratches and smears all over the red shield shape and all around the wooden part of the shield especially on the back below the hook hole where one can hang the plaque.
