The scrapbook contains James W. Caywood's photographs, newspaper clippings, postcards, poems, songs, and drawings collected while he served in Hawaii as part of the 26th Special Naval Construction Battalion. Some of the photographs document the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Content warning: The scrapbook contains partially nude images of indigenous Hawaiian women.
