Encloses circular [not present] concerning candidates for the law professorship and asks Cabell to share the letter with other members of the Board to save writing multiple copies. Discusses the petition to the General Assembly for permission to sell his property at auction. Suggests the extension to the University of the Riot Act of 1786 for purposes of maintaining discipline.
