Scope and content:

The 1942 annual meeting marked the centennial celebration of organized dentistry in Virginia. The minutes include a resolution by the Committee on Tire Priorities for the Richmond Dental Society authorizing the VDA to work to have dentists given priority rating for automobile tires; a presentation by M.S. McClung of the Office of Price Control discussing the need for price control during war time; and Dr. Harry Bear's discussion of the accelerated program at the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry for those persons who join the Army or Navy reserves during World War II.
