TITLE ON REEL:Anti-bussing, Skinny Morrisett's parade, 8-29-70; RUNTIME: 00:04:10; DESCRIPTION: This reel contains footage of approximately 250 individuals protesting school desegregation via busing in downtown Richmond. This protest appears to be majority white, though there are participants who are people of color, both adults and children. This footage shows demonstrators marching at the the Virginia State Capitol grounds, as well as a car protest leaving Skinny's Kitchen in southern Richmond.; NOTE:

The collection is open for research with the exception of some of the films and personal information cards. Films of public activities in public spaces, which constitute the majority of the films, are available through the VCU Libraries Digtial Collections. Films where the subjects were unaware they were being recorded are not available online. Those films can only be accessed in the Special Collections reading room at James Branch Cabell Library. When this is the case, the item will state "For access to this digital file, please consult Special Collections and Archives staff for assistance."
