Stereoscopic view of a plaster sculpture of George Washington in Statuary Hall of the U. S. Capitol. The statue is a copy by William Hubard of Jean Antoine Houdon's original life-size marble sculpture of Washington displayed in Virginia's capitol in Richmond. Mounted on yellow board. Photographer's imprint on the front reads: Rodgers Co. Publishers and Dealers Stereoscopic Views. No. 359 Penna. Avenue, Washington, D. C. The reverse of the card has misidentified the sculpture as 'Washington From Life, by Rembrandt Peel.'
