Stereoscopic view of the 'Washington Carriage' at Belmont Mansion, Philadelphia. This coach actually belonged to Washington's Philadelphian acquaintences Samuel and Elizabeth Powel and is likely a near duplicate of the coach owned by Washington as both vehicles shared the same coach maker. The stereograph is part of a series of 'Stereoscopic Views Published by R. Newell So, Photographers, Phialdelphia, Pa., Fairmount Park Views.' A full list of the 100 view set are printed on the reverse of the card. A note at the bottom states that views 101 through 105 are 'Views from Landsdown.'
