Stereoscopic view of the east front of the Mansion, c. 1861. The balustrade along the piazza roof has been removed for repair and stacks of cut grass or hay are gathered on the east lawn. Note the photograph is printed in reverse. Mounted on yellow board. A printed label adhered to the reverse of the card mount - Mount Vernon. A note written in ink reads: Purchased from Lloyd W. Keepers - $1.00, Nov. 1941."
