Cabinet card of interior view of the new room in the Mansion at Mount Vernon. View towards southwest corner includes Rembrandt Peale portrait of Washington Before Yorktown, Houdon bust of Washington and furnishings. A brass railing surrounds the fireplace and Vaughan mantel. A handwritten note on the reverse of the cardboard mount reads: Received from the Vice-Regent for Illinois, May 1939.
