View towards southwest corner includes Rembrandt Peale portrait of Washington Before Yorktown, Houdon bust of Washington and furnishings. A brass railing surrounds the fireplace and Vaughan mantel. A penciled note on the reverse of the cardboard mount reads: Presented by Free Library of Phila. February 1938. See file Misc. Accessions. Their date "early 1890s"
