- Cabinet card of the new room in the Mount Vernon Mansion. A large screen covers the fireplace and hearth. A metal screen partition is placed in front of the painting. Printed text on the reverse reads: New York Room, Mount Vernon Mansion. State Dining Room or Banquet Hall, in which Washington gave his State Dinners, displaying Peal's [Rembrandt Peale] painting of Washington before Yorktown, and the interesting old relic, the Mayflower Chair with its old fashioned straight back, which was brought over in the ship Mayflower in 1620.
