Tubman of Liberia places a floral wreath on the tomb of George Washington at historic Mt. Vernon, home of the first U. S. President. President Tubman's visit to Mt. Vernon was one of the highlights of his trip to the United States. During his stay in Washington, D. C., the nation's capital, he was a guest of President Eisenhower at the White House. (54-14515)
