Behind Moncheur stands Secretary of State Robert Lansing (in white) and next Lansing near the tomb stands Mount Vernon guard William Permar. On the opposite side of the tomb entrance stands Mount Vernon Superintendent Harrison H. Dodge and on his left is Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels (holding his hat).
