Mentions her engagement to Col. de Greffe, from whom she has not heard since June 18. He has lost his rank and fortune abroad and she is anxiously hoping for his return. Letter will be delivered by M. de Chenney. Autograph letter signed, integral cover, wax seal. Name on original manuscript appears as "Eliza Parke Custis."
