Washington proposes to Samuel Washington that he meet at Richwoods with Bushrod Washington to discuss debts extending from the estates of their fathers, Charles Washington and John Augustine Washington I, respectively. "You will therefore, at once see the necessity of your ... attendance, to exonerate yourself, from as much of the weight of that business as possible." Name on original manuscript appears as "Lawrence A. Washington."
