Received letters from Zantzinger through Ehler and Leonhart, and the mares came -- they are fatigued but in good shape -- pleased with them -- can't determine the expenses of men's return journey, so asks that Zantzinger pay them return expenses and send invoice to President -- gave them no money. Autograph letter signed, integral cover.
