A.D.S. 1 page. A bill of sale whereby Edward Hughes of Kirkston Parish sells a male slave (named Sam) to his daughter Elizabeth Rudolph. The document is signed by John Washington (probably the great-grandson of Lawrence Washington the immigrant; b.1729-1786), Constant Washington (probably his wife), and Louisa F. Washington (possibly his daugter). Recorded in Westmoreland County on August 31, 1784 by R. Bernard.
