Printed circular regarding sale of the portrait of Washington to benefit the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association. Suggests forming clubs to raise money and purchase one copy of the portrait for the group. Gives list of the Vice Regents to whom money should be submitted. Signed S.F. Watson. Folder also includes a letter by Devereux & Co., probably to Ann Pamela Cunningham, regarding copies of the Mount Vernon Record, dated January 12, 1859.
