This box of correspondence contains the only topical correspondence folder in the series, highlighting letters written that centered around the issues of desegregation and the contested permission of black delegates to SIPA. Afterwards, correspondence is alphabetical. Several renowned figures collaborated with O.W. Riegel by hosting their own sessions at the SIPA conference. Some of these figures include cartoonists Kenneth Bald and Douglas Borgstedt. Washington and Lee presidents Fred Cole and Francis Gaines are also included in this part of the collection.
