A telegram dated June4, 1864 sent by F. W. McFarland to Col. William P. Tate giving details about Robert McFarland's fatal wound. A letter dated September 15, 1864 to Francis McFarland concerning the death of Robert. The letter is illegible in some portions due to water damage.
